in a career spanning 25 years including 7.5
years offshore experience with Bureau Veritas
as Surveyor.
• Extensive experience in welding and fabrication
as Bureau Veritas surveyor.Also has experience
in offshore supply vessels.Has worked as Tech.Supdt.
for a Singapore based shipping company for a
short period of time.
• Promoted as chief engineer in 1990.Most of
my Main Fleet vessels have been bulk carriers.Have
apprx. 8 years sailing experience in bulkers
(geared and gearless) as Chief Engineer.Apprx.
2 years sailing experience on offshore supply
vessels as Chief Engineer. Have taken part in
a number of dry dockings.
• Experienced on B&W , Sulzer , MAN and Wartsila
,Bergen,Yanmar Main engines and Auxiliary engines.

• Was part of ship’s compliment in a number
of dry docks.
• Was instrumental in preventing.
• Was instrumental in preventing a ship i.e.
M.V Jalamudra from sinking when self was working
as third engineer in the year ’85-86’
• Conducted ship and industrial surveys as Marine
Surveyor and Industrial Surveyor - a good exposure
to a wide variety of shore – based companies
involved in the manufacture of static and rotary
equipment’s , fire and safety equipment’s.
• Actively involve myself in various machinery
o’hauls like decarbonisation of diesel engines
and turbocharger o’haul etc.
